The program features Schubert's beloved Trout Quintet with pianist Mihae Lee\, plus Louise Farrenc's Nonet for winds and strings. Laura Gilbert\, flute\; Stephen Taylor\, oboe\; Benjamin Fingland\, clarinet\; William Purvis\, horn\; Adrian Morejon\, bassoon\; Emilie-Anne Gendron\, violin\; Jonathan Bagg viola\; Thomas Kraines\, cello\; Jered Egan\, double bass\; Mihae Lee\, piano.\n\n \n\nRather than the usual piano quintet ensemble of piano and string quartet\, the Trout Quintet is written for piano\, violin\, viola\, cello and double bass. Parts of it are often heard as background music in movies\, television and in advertisements\, which speaks to its longevity and popularity.
