SUMMARY:First Church in Jaffrey Summer Fair
DESCRIPTION:The 107th Fair falls on Wednesday\, August 7\, from 1 to 4. Admission is free\, parking is ample\, and places to sit\, eat\, and chat are scattered around the Jaffrey Center Common and First Church buildings. Homemade picnic lunches are available at 12:30 in the Parish House.  A snack bar on the Common sells hot dogs\, sodas\, free watermelon and more.  Live performances in the Music Tent entertain fairgoers throughout the afternoon\,\n\nThe Fair features something for everyone! Venues include antiques and collectibles\, fine art   painting\, prints\, and photographs\, "white elephants\," vintage and craft jewelry\, decorative linens\, the garden center\, and furniture. A Bakery Buffet tempts buyers with cakes\, pies\, cookies\, breads\, and dessert sauces.\n\nAt the Children's Fair in the Horsesheds\, kids can play games to win prizes\, decorate cupcakes\, and find treasures to buy. The popular ride around Jaffrey Center in a Model T returns. Tickets for games and rides remain 25 cents.\n\n \n\nThis event depends on roughly 100 volunteers to set up\, sort\, sell\, park cars\, and clean up. While First Church's members and friends plan and organize the Fair\, two-thirds of the workers come from the wider community. Many local businesses and service groups contribute time\, equipment\, and money.
