2026 First Church in Jaffrey's 109th Annual Fair

 
The First Church in Jaffrey will host their Annual Fair on August 5th              at and around the Jaffrey Meetinghouse on the Common.

The 109th Fair falls on Wednesday, August 5, from 1 to 4. Admission is free, parking is ample, and places to sit, eat, and chat are scattered around the Jaffrey Center Common and First Church buildings. Gourmet bag lunches are available at 12:30 in the Parish House. A snack bar on the Common sells hot dogs, sodas, chips, and more. Live performances in the Music Tent entertain fairgoers throughout the afternoon. The Fair features something for everyone! Venues include antiques and collectibles, fine art – painting, prints, and photographs, “white elephants,” vintage and craft jewelry, decorative linens, and the garden center. A Bakery Buffet tempts buyers with cakes, pies, cookies, breads, and dessert sauces.

 At the Children’s Fair in the Horsesheds, kids can play games to win prizes, decorate
cupcakes, and find low-cost items to buy. The popular ride around Jaffrey Center in a
Model T returns. Tickets for games and rides remain 25 cents.

This event depends on roughly 100 volunteers to set up, sort, sell, park cars, and clean up. While First Church’s members and friends plan and organize the Fair, two-thirds of the workers come from the wider community. Many local businesses and service groups contribute time, equipment, and money. Funds raised help support local social service organizations and scholarships for Conant HS graduates.
