Sauna details:
Got Sauna returns to the Inn with an authentic, wood-burning Finnish sauna.
Got Sauna has a small dressing room and a hot room with a wood burning stove outfitted with stones. While the fire burns, the stones absorb the heat. Birch tea is poured on the heated stones to produce löyly. (Löyly is the aromatic steam that heats the room to get your pores working.) As the heat works in to your aching muscles, you feel your stress melt away.
There are typically three rounds, the first is usually the most intense, 10-15 minutes, the second is more relaxed with lower heat, maybe 15 minutes, and finally the third round, maybe 10 minutes or so. These times vary with each individual, you decide when you have had enough, then come out and take a break to cool down. In between the heating, daring souls are invited to experience the thrill of thermal extremes with a dip in the cold plunge tank or if mother nature supports us... some snow angels.
After two or three rounds of heating and cooling you may have a new outlook on life!
The primary goal is one of relaxation and well-being, but the sauna experience offers many health benefits including easing pain, reducing stress levels, improving cardiovascular health, healthier skin, and relief from some types of asthma.
Although in traditional Finnish sauna it may be faux pas to wear clothing, we ask that in Got Sauna, participants wear swimsuits or otherwise remain covered.
Limited sessions are available. Click HERE to sign up to relax and restore your body and soul!
